I started using meth in 1997 and it swallowed me up and it nearly took my soul. It was great at first and I lost weight and I thought I was not only beautiful but I had a waist size like I had in high school. I was consumed by this drug. I smoked it at first and then I was injecting it using Holy water, my arms were like dead, no flesh left just bruises, bumps, abscesses. I lost everything even the people who I thought were my friends. I saw a picture of myself and saw a dead person looking back at me! I was terrified and I tried to stop on my own but I couldn't do it alone. I was depressed and wanted to die. I had no hope and no purpose. I finally called out for help and checked into treatment on 12/03/04 and I have been clean 16 months now. I want to help other addicts achieve recovery and show them by my example ... and I am grateful that my creator spared me from a horrible death and has given me life and today I have a purpose!
