"With chronic use, tolerance for meth can develop. In an effort to intensify the desired effects, users may take higher doses of the drug, take it more frequently, or change their method of drug intake."

I was sixteen when I first tried meth, and I had my younger sister with me, she was fourteen. We went to a so-called friends house it turned out to be a total crack house everyone was passing the pipe around and when it got to me I wasn't sure exactly how to do it but everyone was quick to help us learn how. When it got to my sister, everyone helped her, too. We both got addicted right then and there with that first hit. We went on a binge, I for eight days in a row, and my sister went for four days. We got split up somehow in those days and my sister got delirious and she ended up getting raped. My best friend found her and brought her home. I kept going for four more days till I could barely keep my tongue in my mouth it was so swollen, I was so weak I could barely walk. When I got home my mother some how found out what I had done, she grabbed me and slapped me. Thank God she did that because somehow it woke me up. I sobered up, got clean and me and my sister never touched that stuff again. Now when I even think about it I get sick to my stomach. I'm glad I have the strength to say no now!!!!!!!
